FreeCAD

FreeCAD is a general-purpose parametric 3D CAD modeler whose development is open source (LGPL License). FreeCAD runs on Linux, Mac OS, and Windows.


Blender

Blender is a free and open-source 3D-creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline — modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, video editing, and 2D animation pipeline.


OpenSCAD

OpenSCAD is free software and available for Linux/UNIX, Windows, and Mac OS X. Instead of being an interactive modeler, OpenSCAD is something like a 3D compiler that reads in a script file describing the object and then renders the 3D model.


Tinkercad

Tinkercad is a free, online 3D modeling program that runs in a web browser, known for its simplicity and ease of use. Since it became available in 2011, it has become a popular platform for creating models for 3D printing as well as an entry-level introduction to constructive solid geometry in schools.
